10 kilograms of plain rolled oats. I don’t love the stuff, but it is probably the single biggest reason that I have the blood sugar levels of a normal person, today. So I have a bowl of it every single morning, soaked (not cooked) in water or juice for half an hour. There won’t be any juice for the Atlantic crossing (has to be fresh fruit juice, I can’t drink anything with preservatives or added sugar), so oats in water it will have to be.
When you start the day out like this, how can the rest of the day can be anything but wonderful?
